Rai Umair is a SharePoint Mentor with Maventor in Melbourne, Australia. Through his consulting, training, and writing, he helps businesses around the world understand, use and make better decisions about SharePoint.

Rai was recently featured on the official Microsoft SharePoint 2010 site and is a recommended SharePoint 2010 Ignite Trainer for Microsoft.

He was an early adopter of SharePoint in 2005 and since then has participated or technically led a myriad of SharePoint projects with successful business outcomes, most notably the Rapid Deployment Programs for Microsoft, which have led to the very first Microsoft case studies for MOSS 2007 worldwide.

Working for a number of consulting practices, Rai has helped clients such as the Australian Government, Westpac, AGL, Goodman, Komatsu, Melbourne Airport, Lockhead-Martin, and South Australia Water design, deploy and adopt solutions based on SharePoint products and technologies.

Rai is well connected with the SharePoint and Office product teams in Redmond and is one of the few Microsoft Certified Masters for SharePoint in the world, currently the only one in Asia Pacific region.

Rai has spoken at various user groups, universities and industry events. His presentations offer clear, insightful, and engaging perspectives on understanding and applying Microsoft technologies within organisations.

Earlier in his career, he wrote web portal software in Cold Fusion, and trained hundreds of professional .NET developers working for a Certified Partner for Learning Solutions. Rai holds a Hons in Computer Science from Deakin University and a number of Microsoft certifications.

Miguel Herrera

Miguel HerreraMiguel Herrera is a Consultant/Trainer working for Maventor. With over 12+ years of experience and a list of Microsoft Technology Certifications, including Microsoft Certified Trainer, he continues to help customers around Australia architect and implement solutions using the Microsoft Technology Stack.

BizTalk Experience

Miguel's BizTalk experience began back in 2002. During his role as Lead solutions architect for Australia's Largest Paper and Recycling company, he architected and implemented an electronic purchasing system and integration gateway to deliver electronic purchasing to a large portion of their customers.

This was the beginning of a career that has spanned many years focussing on integration and business solutions for a myriad of large, medium and small BizTalk implementations around Australia. In 2006, Microsoft invited Miguel to be involved in the Launch of BizTalk 2006 R2 and present at that event in Melbourne.

Miguel has been active in the BizTalk community and related user groups sharing his experience through his own blog and contributing webcasts and presentations. Recently, with the release of BizTalk 2009, Miguel was invited by the community to prepare a webcast which he had the pleasure of seeing hosted on Microsoft MSDN site.

SharePoint Experience

Over the last 4-5 years, Miguel has also been involved in architecting and developing solutions based on Microsoft's SharePoint platform. Having acquired all WSS 3 and SharePoint 2007 certifications, he has been able to quickly become involved and has shared his knowledge and Expertise within the SharePoint community. Recently being involved in the design and implementation of one of the first banking sites based on the SharePoint platform.

Over the last couple of years, Miguel has established his own Consulting, Training and Mentoring company which has enabled him to reach a wider number of customers.
